Berlin's leading gallery for contemporary photography left Berlin Mitte after 7 years, my neighborhood. Last Friday was the last exhibition day. The gallery will open new exhibition space in the City West at the Amerika Haus.
The famous and impressive Postfuhramt-Building in the Oranienburger Strasse is sold to investors so the gallery had to leave. What will we get there in future: a new hotel, shoe shops?
In any case: we loose an important cultural space in Berlin Mitte, a wonderful morbid exhibition room for contemporary art....
